Dustin Branner


Dustin Branner is Jefferson Security Bank's Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. Dustin joined the JSB team in 2005 as a Commercial Lender. While he left to explore other opportunities in 2013, he returned in 2017 as a Senior Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer and was promoted to his current role in 2024. Dustin's extensive lending experience serves him well in this new leadership position.

In addition to providing leadership to JSB's lending team, he also specializes in commercial loans and is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses within our community find the financing solution that best meets their needs. He values the opportunities being a lender provides, including meeting new people and learning about various industries and companies. Dustin enjoys the opportunity to assist with both real estate and non-real estate lending transactions. 

Dustin has a Bachelor of Finance from University of Maryland UC. He also attended Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia and Hesston College in Kansas. He held FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 Securities Licenses and attended the American Bankers Association (ABA) Graduate Commercial Lending School, ABA National Commercial Lending School, RMA-ECU Commercial Real Estate Lending School and RMA-ECU Commercial Lending School.

Dustin joined the United States Navy in 1995. After completing boot camp at the Naval Station Great Lakes in Chicago, IL, he completed engineering school and was recognized as the Honor Graduate having received the highest academic score in his class. In 1996, Dustin's first assignment was onboard the USS New Orleans (LPH 11) in San Diego, CA. During his service, he also completed a WestPac cruise, participated in Operation Tandem Thrust '97 and was assigned to the Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) of a United States Navy amphibious assault ship, The Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). After 4 years of service, Dustin was honorably discharged from the United States Navy.

Dustin has lived in Martinsburg since 2005 and the Eastern Panhandle since 2002. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Laura Branner, and together they have two children; Dylan and Alexis. As a family, they enjoy attending sporting events and trips to the beach.

Dustin is an active member of our community, volunteering his time as a member of the Martinsburg Rotary Noon Club. He previously served on the board of the Eastern Panhandle Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is the Treasurer of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Deacon Board at Fellowship Bible Church in Shenandoah Junction. He is also an alumnus of the Leadership Harrisonburg Rockingham County Chamber, Top of Virginia Regional Chamber of Clarke, Frederick and Winchester, and Leadership Berkeley of the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber.
