Q: Is Online Banking secure?
 
A: Yes, we use the latest technology and security standards to protect your account and personal information. You can help keep your online banking account secure by creating a unique user ID and password not used for any other account, using a strong password that you change regularly, and not sharing your login credentials with anyone.

Q: How do I sign up for Online Banking?
 
A: Enroll in JSB Online Banking—it’s quick and easy and you just need some basic information to verify your account and identity.

Q: When is Online Banking available?

A: You can access your JSB online banking account 24/7 except during periods of routine maintenance. In the event that our host system is down for any reason, you can still view certain information through our offline model.

Q: What do I do if I forget my password?

Q: How do I sign up for Mobile Banking?

A: Once you’re first enrolled in online banking, log into your online banking account and click on the options tab. Then click mobile settings to select the account(s) you want to see on your mobile device. Now you’re enrolled in mobile banking and ready to download our free mobile app for iPhone and Android.

Q: How do I use the Mobile Banking app?
 
A: Using our Mobile Banking app is easy. Just follow the steps below to get started.
  • Type your mobile Banking ID and JSB Mobile Banking PIN in the appropriate boxes.
  • Carefully review and agree to the Mobile Terms of Use.
  • If interested in receiving important banking news and alerts straight to your phone, make sure the Text Message Alerts box is changed to green. You will need to provide your mobile phone number and wireless provider.
  • From there, you will have access to review accounts, transfer monies, view alerts and find Jefferson Security Bank locations.
Q: Is there a minimum deposit required to open a bank account?
 
A: Yes, our savings accounts have the following minimum opening deposit requirements:
  • Simple Savings, Money Market and Premier Savings accounts require a $50 minimum deposit; 
  • Youth Savings accounts require a $5 minimum deposit; and
  • Christmas Club accounts require a $1 minimum deposit.
Our checking accounts have the following minimum opening deposit requirements:
  • Simple Checking, Senior Checking, Interest Checking and Premier Checking accounts require a $50 minimum deposit; and
  • Youth Checking accounts require a $5 minimum deposit.
Our business accounts require a $100 minimum deposit.
 
Q: How can I avoid checking account fees?

A: There are no monthly service fees for the Simple Checking, Senior Checking and Youth Checking accounts. 

Premier Checking account holders can reduce the $5.00 monthly service fee by $2.50 for making one direct deposit each statement period. The monthly service fee can also be reduced by $0.50 for each Point of Sale (POS) debit card transaction per statement cycle. This allows the flexibility to reduce your fee to $0.00 based on your account activity.

For Interest Checking, you must maintain an average daily balance of at least $1,000 to avoid the monthly service fee of $7.50. Maintaining an average daily balance of at least $1,000 also eliminates the $0.20 item fee per debit transaction.

There is a $3.00 monthly statement fee on the following checking accounts which you can avoid by enrolling in paperless statements.
  • Simple Checking
  • Interest Checking
  • Youth Checking
Our Senior Checking account provides paper statements at no charge.
 
Our Premier Checking account requires enrollment in paperless statements.
